Pulmonary Langerhans' cell histiocytosis : Langerhans’ cells, staining with antibodies against CD1a

Lymphocytic interstitial pneumonia: T-cell lymphocytosis

Cryptogenic organizing pneumonia: lymphocytes (20%–40%), neutrophils (10%), and eosinophils (5%), CD4/CD8 ratio usually decreased.

Sarcoidosis:
CD4/CD8 ≥2

Hypersensitivity pneumonitis: CD4/CD8 <1

Asbesto: asbesto body (ferruginous bodies)

Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage: Hemosiderin-laden macrophage

Alveolar proteinosis: periodic acid-Schiff lipoproteinaceous material

eosinophilic lung disease:
ICEP (eos >40%), IAEP (eosi >25%)
